Tips like this are the ones that make all this tutorials very valuable. Thanks a lot. It's easy to find about mixing technics, that you can develop by practicing but what comes out of years of experience has no price. Thanks a lot for sharing your experiences.

I think for dubstep it may mean playing dubstep that isnt too intense too early on in the night. So that it progresses into the heavy stuff you want to hear at the peak time. You dont want to be playing massive heavy tunes at 8pm when theres hardly anyone there and people are just starting their night out. Im still learning myself about the whole warm up Djing thing but I hope that makes sense :)

Ive seen a few Djs which have got the warm up DJ spot many times and they dont play heavy tunes which are the songs Im waiting for when I go to a gig. Because of this that DJ isnt memorable for that night. Wouldnt it be hard for a warm up DJ to go from warm up DJing to Headlining??

as a nub dj myself. tend to want to think that the dj is remembered for his mixin skills and selection of tracks. usually when i'm at a club, it's not how massive the actual track is but how massive it sounds in the context of the mix that does it for me.

best thing to do if you plan on being the warm up dj for a dubstep show. a mix of uk funky/ garage/ and lots of the groovin subtle dubstep which has a crap load of sub bass should get people moving. closer to the end, throw out bangers XD
